Ten Reasons Why I Don't Like War

  1. Nothing good ever comes of it.
  2. A lot of innocent people die. Collateral damage they call it. I call it murder.
  3. War always ends up being evil and bringing out the worst in people.
  4. We idealize war. We give it a measure of rightness. Religions call it a "just war." I call it a bunch of tomfoolery.
  5. War always involved terror, which we supposedly dislike.
  6. War fuels the Osama bin Laden hiding in all our hearts.
  7. It relies on killing and destruction to win.
  8. Fathers, mothers, sons and daughters die.
  9. Children, friends, grandmothers and grandfathers die. We never refer to these people as such. They are krouts, Japs, towel heads, Charlie, infidels, slant eyes. If you called him or her by their names, it would be harder for you to kill them. It all is impersonal an gets further and further away. (Drones).
  10. War. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing.
