ANOTHER GREAT VILLAGE MOVE

In an effort to keep up with the rest of Arkansas's demented, gun-crazed population, Hot Springs Village has decided to follow the carry law passed by the right-wing state legislature. Our no-carry signs have been replaced by  "Welcome to Hot Springs Village" signs, where rich, right-wing Republicans can now carry guns to protect themselves from "evil," meaning anyone of color or low social status. The Hot Springs Village Directors allow themselves the opportunity to hide behind closed doors while making decisions that might upset the rest of us, which can only be done in very prescribed instances at the municipal or county levels. We seem to have a pick-and-choose type of governance, using what is handy when the Directors agree with county laws, and making up things when they don't. I never thought hiding behind closed gates would be so interesting.
