RIDING DOWN LIFE'S HIGHWAY

  • IT'S A LONG, BUMPY ROAD.
  • THERE IS NO USE BEING IN A HURRY. THE SPEED LIMIT VARIES, AND STATES AND COUNTIES NEED MONEY. AND THEY AIM TO GET IT FROM YOU.
  • YOU'LL HIT SOME DEAD-ENDS. BACK UP AND START AGAIN. DO OVER, AND OVER, UNTIL YOU GET IT RIGHT.
  • CRUISE CONTROL GENERALLY DOESN'T WORK.
  • DO NOT PICK UP HITCH-HIKERS. UNLESS IT HAPPENS TO BE ME.
  • WATCH OUT FOR ANIMALS. IT IS YOU WHO IS TRESPASSING. BRAKE FOR TURTLES.
  • SOME DAYS YOU GO DOWNHILLS. SOME DAYS UP. EITHER WAY, IT WILL BE ALRIGHT.
  • DRIVE DEFENSIVELY. DON'T TRUST THE OTHER GUY. WHEN I DRIVE BY YOU, YOU ARE THE OTHER GUY.
  • THE RIDE CAN BE LONG, BUMPY, AND DANGEROUS, BUT ENDS UP BEING WELL WORTH IT.
