Systems thinking is a way of looking
at the world in which objects are interrelated with one another.
"FOR ME, ALL OF THIS DOES NOT END UP DEPRESSING AND OVERWHELMING. ON THE CONTRARY, I BEGIN TO SIGH WITH RELIEF AT THE POSSIBILITY AT LAST OF UNDERSTANDING WHY SO MANY PEOPLE AND FAMILIES AT ANY GIVEN TIME ARE IN TROUBLE. ALONG WITH OTHERS, I HAVE LONG SENSED THAT BEING HUMAN IS, INTRINSICALLY, A DISTURBING LIFELONG EXPERIENCE OF BUZZING, BLOOMING CONFUSION; THAT MOVING INTO AND WITH THE STORM, AND GOING WITH THE SEASONS OF LIFE, PROMISES SERIOUS POSSIBILITIES OF TRANSCENDENCE, CREATIVITY AND JOY. I CAN NO LONGER SUBSCRIBE TO SIMPLISTIC EXPLANATIONS OF FAMILY AND PERSONAL DIFFICULTIES AS RESULTING SOLEY FROM EMOTIONAL DISTURBANCE WHEN IT APPEARS THAT OUR GREATEST PROBLEM IS THAT WE STILL KNOW SO VERY LITTLE ABOUT HOW TO USE THE NATURAL EQUIPMENT OF OUR HUMANNESS TO THE GREATEST ADVANTAGE."
